Wildlife is one of the more challenging types of photography, especially for me. It requires a lot of patience and it requires a lot of respect. And by respect, I mean respect for the animal. It is tempting to walk closer for the better shot, but I rarely do. Animals are entitled to our respect.
I have been fortunate and have gotten a number of nice photographs of wildlife. However, sometimes, not so much. But I’m still better for it, because even a glimpse of a deer at a distance or just hearing but not seeing the songbird makes time in the field worthwhile.
